GOT HOUSING?

It’s almost that time of year again… time to begin planning your housing needs for the 2012/2013 school year. We will begin posting the availability list

                                      Monday, March 12, 2012

Our availability goes quickly, so please be sure to have your applications and all required paperwork in promptly. Here are the steps to follow:

1. Apply: When you apply, please include a rental application, group application and cosigner forms. They are available at StewardshipRentals.com/Apps/Forms  (on this site) or come by our office at 1247 Villard St. in Eugene, OR across Franklin Ave. from the Matthew Knight arena. Our office staff can assist you with any questions and walk you through the application process.

Please be sure to read over the approval requirements before filling out your application to ensure that you are filling out all the paperwork needed in order to make your application complete and ready to be processed. Applications that are considered incomplete will not be processed.

2. Application Processing: Allow five-seven business days during peak months (March-September) to process your application. We will call you as soon as your application is approved to get you started with the move-in process.

3. Find Your Residence: Once your application has been approved, take a look at our current availability list that can be found on our website or pick up a paper copy at our office to begin scheduling showings for your future residence. You will be given the option to "go pending" on a property to which you are viewing (you only go pending for one property at a time). To go pending for a property, places a 24-hour hold on the property from the time you view it to see whether or not it’s the new home for you. Once the 24-hour hold is up, your name will be removed if we have not heard from you to schedule a lease signing.

4. View Your Residence: Once you have found a property you would like to view, its time to schedule a showing. Please keep in mind that we must give our current tenants' 24-hour notice in order to view the property. Call our office and schedule your appointment and a Stewardship Properties' staff member will provide a showing of the unit for you.

5. Sign Your Lease : After viewing a property and you have decided you would like to sign for the property, you need to contact our office within 24 hours of the showing in order to schedule the lease signing. At the lease signing, we will collect your deposit (first month's rent will be collected on move in day).

A Word of Introduction—Stewardship Properties began in 1989 with the purchase and remodel of a home near the University of Oregon. Along with a continued strong campus orientation, we have also branched out to many other locations. Thus this site includes U of O campus rentals as well as other rental properties throughout the Willamette Valley and beyond.

The name stewardship comes from the perspective that we are all "just passing through this life." While passing through it is appropriate to consider ourselves not so much as owners, but as managers. A good steward is someone who takes on the task
of managing well what has been entrusted to him or her.

So we seek, as best as we can, to live up to this honorable namesake by serving people in their housing needs. For more information about us feel free to visit our company's general website at Stewardship Home or Our Mission & Us.

In the mean time our hope is that we can do a good job of serving you, and when we don't… please let us know. All the best in settling into your new home!
